Yes, Mckinley, there are many candles on the market being touted as "natural aromatherapy candles". Being an intelligent and educated consumer will help you get a really natural candle! Soy or palm wax and natural essential oils (NOT fragrance oils), with cotton wicks are the natural candles. If you have ever used a candle that leaves a black soot on the wall near it you are using a petroleum based wax candle and it may even have lead in the wick. So, be educated, be healthy, be well and enjoy natural aromatherapy candles. I like using beeswax candles and an essential oil diffuser (for the scent) and here is a link to where to get the diffusers I like to use:
http://tinyurl.com/7upjzxv
Just go into the above site and click on the left side under "Products" and once on that page, look at Diffusers. I like the ones with the glass nebulizer tubes.
Remember...never use heat with pure essential oils! Applying heat to a pure oil alters and reduces it's therapeutic benefits. The diffusers I use and suggest make the oil into a very fine mist, no heat is used, and the oil once dispersed as microfine particles, stays suspended in the air to purify the environment or be inhaled to benefit every cell in the body!

A lot of so called aromatherapy candles out on the marketplace today contain paraffin wax which is really a byproduct of the crude oil process and fragrance oils that are chemically derived. Some major manufacturers have paraffin wax, combined with natural scents. Some have natural waxes combined with chemical derived synthetic scents. My notion of a natural "aromatherapy candle" is 1 that is all natural. So, what are natural scents? They are essential oils.

Hubert, the oils I have found to be the best and the most therapeutic (after decades of being an aromatherapist!) are able to be used internally as well as topically. You can find out more about them here:

Aromatherapy is considered to be one of the very best methods of relaxing and of making your body feel better than ever! More than a way of inducing a total relaxation state to your body, aromatherapy also has positive functions on your mind and spirit. It is one of the best methods used in order to decrease tension and develop continuously positive thinking and good images upon life and everything around you. When the notion of aromatherapy was first introduced, it was meant to refer to natural products, like tea for instance, which can be also used for its calming effects, including its smell.

Elena! I love it!! I always scrapbook images and words together too, I find it therapeutic and motivating!

I noticed you mentioned last year's board briefly. You should do a write up about what was on your board last year that specifically manifested and your thoughts on how or why it did. Anything on your list that did not manifest? If so, is it on your board again this year or did you find that your 'wants' and vision has changed since a year past?

I know for me that I go through such leaps of change every year that my preferences and desires fluctuate year-to-year and perhaps what I thought I wanted last year has now changed a little bit.

Elena! What a touching story -- made me think of how I hope to have a family one day and make little ornaments on the tops of mason jars and reminisce years later :)

It was so nice to read that the simple things of the season (such as the ornaments on your tree) gave you such a profound moment of gratitude and reflection on your life. I hope that you experience treasured moments like these that take you to a place of peace more often. When they do, I look forward to reading about them!

Congrats on having your energy back in high spirits and I wish that 2012 will be just as fantastic for you, your family and your business. Thank you for sharing this story!

PS. I love reading your blog posts! Post more often :)

All the best!
